We are super excited to offer two different robot camps, one for rising 5-6th graders and one for rising 7-10th graders. The week ends with a mega robot event where girls of both camps will team up on June 27 and participate in a fun competition 🎉✨
Application deadline: May 15, 2026
This camp is perfect for girls wanting to get started with robotics and have no or little experience with coding. We will use the cute Edison robots and cover sensors, coding and remote control and even add some Lego parts 🥳. On June 27 they will partner with the older girls from the other camp and form teams to tackle challenges togehter. Best of all, they can keep their Edison robots.
June 25-27 from 10am - 3pm (EDT)
Blount County Public Library - Learning Center
Materials fee: $30 (can be waived)
In this new camp the girls will focus on design and actually building a skid steer from scratch using 3D printed parts. We will cover assembly, electronics, wiring, and even a little soldering. In the end they have their own remote control skid steer model. This group will also design parts for the competition challenges. On June 27 they will form teams with the younger girls for the competition. Of course they keep the skid steer 🥳
June 22-24 and June 27 from 10am - 3pm (EDT)
Blount County Public Library - Learning Center
Materials fee: $70 (can be waived)
