Code Some Chords Challenge
Become a recording engineer and create a short song using the online platform EarSketch. In addition to making a short song, an optional in-costume Halloween dance video can be submitted. If you don’t want to be in the video, use a stuffed animal or robot, maybe even your Roomba! New to EarSketch? No worries, we offer an online class and online sessions where you can ask questions.
September 30 - Online Registration Deadline
October 3 at 2pm - Competition Kickoff and EarSketch online class
October 9, 16, and 23 at 4pm - Online question and answer sessions - pop in anytime
October 23 - Submission Deadline
October 31 at 11 am - Award Ceremony
Registered participants will receive links to all competition events. Please note all times are Eastern Daylight Time.
Girls in grades 5-9 can participate and submit individual entries.
The project must be created in EarSketch. (It’s free!)
The song should be between 45-90 seconds long.
External sounds can be used. If not created by the participant, they need to be credited in the submission.
